  1. Abby Bacon motioned to elect Christy Philips as chair again this year. Seconded by Annalisa Spencer. Annalisa Spencer motioned to elect Abby Bacon as vice chair this year. Seconded by Natalie Bletzacker.
  2. Annalisa Spencer was appointed secretary again. Natalie Bletzacker will fill in to take notes in her absence.
  3. Reviewed Robert’s rules of order. A quorum is defined as a majority. Must have more parents than employees during a vote. Our meetings are open so anyone can attend.
  4. Our meeting schedule is confirmed for future meetings. 9/9, 10/14, 11/11, 12/9, 1/13, 2/10, 3/10, 4/14, 5/12 – 7:30 AM in the Butler Elementary conference room.
  5. Website roster needs Briana Williams added. Our info will be added to the website later today – names and phone numbers.
  6. Discussed requirements of an open SCC meeting. Do not mention specific students, all analyzing of data is done anonymously.
  7. Data review: We met our reading goal (80%), we were 81%. We did not make our goal for growth which was to take pathways of progress from 61% to 70%. Our kids who are at and above level are not continuing to increase. In math we wanted to increase pathways of progress from 68% to 80%. Did not meet that goal either. Science goal was to have 70% of 4th and 5th graders proficient on Rise. We haven’t gotten Rise results yet. But our 4th graders were 75% proficient on rise, our 5th graders were not. Casey is going to put together a list of environmental adjustments that may help. We think we need to begin testing earlier in the window because they were burned out. We’re not sure which test was administered to the 5th graders last. We’re on the right path with unpacking content standards.
  8. Approve transfer of funds: We think we’re okay for now but will vote to move some money at a later meeting if needed.

Motion to adjourn – Abby Bacon.

Seconded by Natalie Bletzacker.

Next meeting – October 14th at 7:30 AM.
