Review current land trust plan:
We have currently spent 51% of our budget. We need to spend more. May give aides more hours. Will spend it down to an appropriate range.
Are there any gaps in the school progress that we would like to spend money on? Yes, but it’s in next year’s plan and budget.
Reviewing draft of new TSSP and Land Trust Plan (projected on the screen):
Last time we talked about setting goals in programs that teachers already use in class. Increasing student engagement, flexible grouping, consistent analysis of assessment data for student need, apply knowledge of phonics to decodable text, instructional aides to support students, etc.
Increase student accountability during independent work time by bringing in volunteers, practice reading aloud with buddies.
Increasing BTSA hours to increase art integration, purchase brain pop, professional development through Grace Dearborne, decrease bobcat den visits by 10%, student accountability for reading work through journals and dyad reading, etc. Climate goal: decrease bobcat den visits by 10%.
Looking at spreadsheet totals. We spend $93K on interventionists (Land trust). Kim, Marcie, social worker for TSSA. Action steps for land trust — including subs for professional learning, Grace Dearborne days. Action steps TSSP – BLT subs, brain pop.
District is trying to put an assistant principal in every elementary school. We don’t know who ours will be yet.
