Welcome, Christine.

  1. Christine Philips motioned to remove Justin Aagard as member of our School Community Council. Motion was seconded by Natalie Bletzacker.
  • We are beginning to write our TSSP and LAND Trust plans for next school year. We are aiming for 80% of students scoring 80% or better on the 95% test software. Our use of exit tickets is helping teachers hone in on which skills need more work as they move through their curriculum. K and 1st grades are doing awesome. 2nd and 3rd need work but exit tickets are working. Scores are slowly increasing. This is phonics we are tracking. Wonders is used in 4-5 grades. It has 6 units. We are aiming for 80% or better. Early in the year we identified essential standards that carry on to other tests and grade levels and we have been emphasizing those standards during our instruction, in addition to all other standards. This required teachers to review essential standards for both grades adjacent to theirs. It’s an ongoing process and quite time consuming.

We are trying to decide if we should add a math goal for next year. We will be getting new standards and also new math software next year, so it would have to be a more general goal. Perhaps building facts fluency would be good. We are wondering if for next year we should lower the Wonders percent to 75%. Lots of students would be very very close to that. There are only 10 questions on the test. Teachers believe 80% is achievable and we can get there over time. Teachers think we should have a math goal for next year of some sort.

  • Ms. Stacey has the final report of last year’s plan ready and she is submitting it this Friday.
  • Our current LAND trust data was reviewed above. Our budget moved from Skyward to Cumulative and we can’t see our running total accurately so we don’t know where we are on budget. We may need to write an amendment to our budget. We are likely getting 20% more next year. We may hire another aide with that money.
  • Ms. Stacey will remove Justin from the website and it will be updated/current.

Motion to adjourn – Abby Bacon. Seconded by Christine Philips.

Our next meeting will be February 10th.
